Congratulations! Thank you for letting me know.
My respectful suggestion is that you explain to Caterina Veddovi at
Biblioteca Conservatorio Cherubini di Firenze <biblioteca@consfi.it>
that you need not a paper copy but only the electronic, digital files
of Il Segreto to be transmitted by Internet. The Il Segreto files are
almost certainly too voluminous to be sent as e-mail attachments, except
by @gmail, which accepts such large files but then instead of delivering 
them, stores them in one of its clouds, and then e-mails you instructions
how to retrieve them. I have never availed myself of this service, but if
you wished, you and I could test it. I have numerous very large files
which I could try to transmit to you. You might also confer with Klemens.
I believe he has experience with transmitting large files on the Internet.

If the estimate for scanning or photographing the manuscripts is modest, 
I would go ahead and take the chance that what you get will be of use 
to you. Otherwise you might consider asking for copies only of a limited
number of test pages. If ultimately you go to Florence yourself we should 
acquire the stand, the camera and the voltage converter and make sure that 
they function properly before you take them to Italy.
