Staircase wit supplemental to my letter Looking for music.
Basic experiences: self society language present memory anticipation
These I consider hard-wired functions of my mind
Language as precipitate of self and society 
Language is a reflection of my awareness of myself and my world
Poetry is a precipitation of language which segregates rhythm and melody
from the solute and concentrates the remaining meaning or spirit.
Hence the paradox that while the constraints of rhyme and rhythm
diminish the conceptual spectrum of meaning they create space in the
mind (spirit) of the hearer (reader) where his own understanding and
intuition may flourish to create a worldof its own.

The meaning of the poem is not what it says, but what it does Not say,
what is imputed, what is left behind. When a poem set to music
the process of distillation is enhanced in a different dimension. 
Auf Flügeln des Gesanges  Herzliebchen trag ich dich fort.
