January 13, 2024 Dear Nathaniel, Attached is one .pdf page with the first 12 lines of 5 measures each of the Violin I part of the Overture to Cartellieri's Il Segreto. Please take a look at it and tell me: a) whether you are still interested, and b) whether instumentalists (and vocalists) would find parts extracted from the orchestral score in this manner adequate for perforances. The orchestral score comprises 612 pages. The number of pages ultimately required for a performance depends, of course, on the size of the orchestra, and whether two musicians share a single score, or each musician uses his own score. If I did nothing else, my preparation of the parts would take somewhere between one and three months. Please tell me what you think. Love, Jochen
