As I reread my letter, I have further thoughts:

I interpret the incarnation, the spirit becoming flesh,
as the emblem of Christian theology; and the acceptance
of that contradiction as the triumph of faith.

In issue remains the nature of that acceptance, whether it be
passive denial or assertive affirmation: Credo quia absurdum
est. Or a deliberate and deliberating intellectual confrontation.
