     Die (gesammte) Diltheysche Philosophie scheitert an der
Voraussetzung dass es Wissenschaften, sei es Natur- oder
Geisteswissenschaften tatsaechlich "gaebe"; scheitert an dem
Versagen (failure) die Nichtigkeit der Wissenschaften als
gesellschaftliche Einbildungen, als substranzlose
Vorstellungen welche nie in Erfuellung gegangen sind, und
welche nie in Erfuellung gehen werden; ungeachtet der
Tatsache das unzaehlige Professoren darueber Vorlesungen
halten, dass unzaehlige Lehrbuecher (textbooks) verfasst,
verkauft, gelesen, und sogar auswendig gelernt werden: und
trotzdem gibt es keine Wissenschaft(en).

     Es gibt immer nur Ansaetze die vermeintliche
Wissenschaft zum Audruck zu bringen (to mnake it explicit,
to implement it, to correct it, to complete it, to perfect
it. The most one might say is that a given science is a
pattern of thought, an intention, a direction of mind,
requiring to be followed, to be exercised, to be
implemented.  And yet by its very nature, such
implementation is possible only in a very provisional,
tentative, private manner; so that the grand scheme of the
science never comes to fruition, but only fragments of it
are realized in the individual imagination; a fulfillment so
fragmentary and evanescent that it hardly deserves the name
of science.

     One may go further and assert that it is the function
of the scientist not so much to gather or obtain new
knowledge because of the dominent assumption that the
knowledge exists, but to buttress the fiction of its
existence; much as a priest vouchsafes the existence of
religious truths.
