20010530.02 Wie in der Erkenntnistheorie, so bewirkt auch in der Ethik die Unterscheidung von Subject und Object, von Einzelnem und Gesellschaft, von Ich und Welt, entscheidende Aufklaerung. (Conversely) Umgekehrt, ensprechend, moechte man behaupten, dass das Verfehlen (failure) das Inwendige vom Oeffentlichen zu unterscheiden der Ethik eine undurchbrechbare (insurmountable) Schranke setzt, Conversely one might claim tghat the failure to distinguish teh subjective from the objective factors has created an insurmountable barrier to our understanding of how we should act and of how we in fact do act. The parallels between epistemology and ethics in this regard are striking. Just as in science we are able to amass and interpret a large amount, a great deal of factual data without the awareness of ones subjectivity, yet the final understanding of its meaning remains outstanding until one is able to reconcile it with its subjective meaning. Similarly one may be an expert on human behavior from the perspective of the anthropologist, sociologist psychologist, or lawyer, without the awareness of ones subjectivity, yet the final understanding of its meaning remains outstanding until one is able to reconcile it with its subjective meaning. * * * * *
