20030718.00 Theory, reflection and idealization go hand in hand. Think- ing is, by its very nature, idealization. Thus the product of all thought is idealized, and correspondingly so are all our conceptualizations. All thinking leads to conceptual- ization; and concepts are inherently configurations of ide- als. Thinking produces ideals. Existence in whatever form it appears, is an end in itself, and thus appears optimal. (Parmenides) Existence itself, as expression of idealiza- tion, is the "good". At the same time, the idealization wrought by thought in turns makes the thinker insensitive to the unpredictability of chaos, and thereby tends to obstruct both his observation and his reasoning. * * * * *
